THE GIVING PROJECT
Fill a Ziploc Bag with Gifts for kids in the
Vicente Guerrero, Mexico Area.
DEADLINE: Christmas Eve
Ziploc Bags are available in Sonshine Station,
or at the back of Yarrow Alliance Church Sanctuary.
You can also donate cash to help deliver the gifts
by clearly marking the Offering Envelope "The Giving Project"
or donate to Sonshine Station Offering.
Return filled Ziploc bags to the front of the Sanctuary
under the Christmas Tree.
Ziploc Bag Ideas:
- Toys: small cars, deflated balls, dolls, stuffed animals, harmonicas, yoyos, skipping ropes, marbles, slinky, etc. (in excellent condition)
- Hygiene Items: (must be new) toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap (in plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
- School Supplies: pens, pencils & sharpener, crayons or pencil crayones with sharpener, small writing pads or paper, hard paint, coloring & picture books (few or no words), glue stick, craft scissors, etc.
- Other: gum or candy in packaging, t-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewlery, watches, lip balm, etc. Be Creative!
- Personal Note: enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family.
Please DO NOT include:
- Liquids or items that melt: chocolate, shampoo, gel, liquid paint, liquid glue, etc.
- Breakable Items: glass, porcelain, mirrors, etc.
- Items that could scare or harm a child: war-related toys, knives, etc.
